Colonial Estate Exile Barossa Shiraz
11 April 2019
The Colonial Estate is a range of limited-production Australian wines with an old world approach.
Exile Shiraz is a single vineyard wine. The fruit is hand picked and carefully selected from some of the oldest and finest vineyards from the western Barossa Valley. The bulk of the vines are dry grown old vines up to 140 years old. Most wineries would die to get their hands on these grapes! It should also be noted that these vineyards are where a large portion of Penfolds Grange is sourced.
Colonial Exile Shiraz also has a claim to fame! It is named after the CD 'Exile on Main Street' by the Rolling Stones.
This multi award winning wine has been rated 95 points. It has won 2 trophies 25 Gold Medals and 42 other international awards and was voted best Shiraz in the world at the AWC Vienna Wine Show, the worlds largest wine competition.
